Engineering Vaala built GTU Student as a free, unofficial, ad-supported student utility app. GTU Student is not affiliated with or endorsed by Gujarat Technological University. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how third-party services we use may process data.
Optional feedback: If you submit feedback in the app, you may enter your name and message. That information is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) so we can read and respond to feedback.
On-device preferences: The app may store settings on your device using local storage (for example theme choice, saved favorites, and recently selected paper session). This data stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the app.
Downloads: When you download a PDF, the file is saved to your device storage (for example the Downloads folder on Android).
We do not require an account to use the app.
The app uses third-party services that may collect identifiers and usage data to provide ads, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and remote configuration:
Analytics events are limited to anonymous usage signals (for example course codes and download success or failure). We do not send subject names or PDF URLs in analytics events.
Because the app shows ads, Google AdMob and related Google services may use advertising IDs, app instance identifiers, IP address, device type, and interaction data to serve and measure ads.
If the app crashes or errors occur, Firebase Crashlytics may collect diagnostic information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and stack traces.
The app opens links and PDF files hosted by Gujarat Technological University, Darshan University, and other third-party websites. Those sites are not operated by us.
Feedback stored in Firestore is kept until we delete it or you ask us to remove it. On-device data remains until you clear it.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page and in the app.
